    Brodie’s Books

In this assignment we had to create a new brand visual for a bookshop called Brodie’s Books.

    We had to create:

    • 2 logos – one main and one alternative
    • van mockup
    • bicycle mockup
    • package design
    • brand style guide
    • logo presentation

    Motivation

This task was very interesting and I got a deeper insight into working with a business company as a graphic designer.

My inspiration came from book shops, the library I work at, and coffee shops.
I looked at various coffee logos as well as book logos to find a way to combine them. I also took a strife around my library and looked at the antique books displayed for the inspiration of the package design.

    Bergen Bike

    Brief

In this assignment we had to design a poster and a website for a biking company in Bergen. I also made a logo for the company, which was optional. The poster was an A3-size poster and we had to include some information about every route, but we could choose how much. The website had to include every information and had to be interactive in some way. This could be by using hover or click, or any other form for interaction.

    Creative Consious

In this illustration I wanted to set focus on how damaging it can be for a transperson to be misgendered and not respected.

  • Sequential Narrative

How can you make the world better through art?

What the world is not is a concept of a book about various issues based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by UN.

This was a school project where we got a text we could illustrate or freely interpret.
My project is based on “What a poem’s not” by John Hegley. This was a really fun project because in his poem he lists things on every letter in the alphabeth, and I decided to use that in my project. The polar bear is meant to represent biodiversity.

    Trans Rights Campaign

The past few years, the world surely has seen an increase of the LGBTQ+ community. More and more people comes out as a member of the society, and the media inspires them and helps them increase their self-esteem. But there has also been an increase in death and abuse of the LGBTQ+ people, mostly the transgenders and homosexuals. A lot of countries has banned the idea of a third gender and transgender. These countries refers to transgenders as ”cross dressers” and punish them with prison, abuse or even death.

  • Egg Booklet Design

    Egg Booklet Design

In this task we were to design an egg booklet. The booklet had to be A5 format (h210mm. x w:
148mm). And we had an attached text that we had to use. The text could not be edited.

    Motivation

I found some recipe books and looked at the grid system, colour usage and image usage to get
inspiration for this task. I used the recipe book, Supersmoothies by Trine Berge and Sara Chacko,
mainly for the layout references, because of how lively it was.

The booklet is themed after the shape and colours of an egg. White and warm yellow is the main
colours. The images have round egdes, some are oval and circle shaped, others are rectangular
with rounded egdes. This is because an egg has no sharp edges, when it’s whole.
